What is your rate?

I generally charge $20/hour for proofreading, $25/hour for copy editing, and $30/hour for developmental editing. Do you require a deposit?

I require a deposit up front for almost all projects. For shorter projects, I may request half of the estimated fees up front and the remainder upon completion. For longer projects like novels, I may implement a four-stage payment plan where I request only 25% of the estimated fees up front.
How do you take payment?
